Chantress Haley Reinhart and her band delighted the audience with original tunes and covers at the Schrott Center for the Arts at Butler University on September 28, 2022.

Perhaps best known for her third-place finish and fan favorite on season 10 of American Idol,  where she also returned as a mentor, she has appeared on numerous other shows, including Love Island, Gossip Girl, Nashville, Riverdale, The Wilds, America’s Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars.

With a timeless voice and extensive vocal range, Reinhart is best known for her selections in Adult Contemporary as well as Pop airplay, as highlighted by her remake of the Elvis Presley classic “Can’t Help Falling In Love,”  which she performed this night in a duet with pianist Matt Little.

Having released four albums, with the most recent Lo-Fi Soul, Reinhart selected several original tunes, including her most recent “Roll the Dice” to “Deep Water,” “21st Century,” and “Hit the Ground Running.”

But the familiarity of the covers were crowd favorites, including Hendrix’s “The Wind Cries Mary,” The Kink’s “Sunday Afternoon,” and "Screamin' Jay" Hawkins's classic “I Put a Spell on You.”

With support from a great band featuring members Matthew Little on Piano and keyboards, Adam Ditt on bass, Sheldon Reed on Drums, and Balam Garcia on guitar.  I would have loved to see them featured a little more.  Haley Reinhart has an incredible voice that we will be heard long into the future.
