Hi-Fi Indy delivered a singer/songwriter double header Saturday night, July 17, with bands on both stages throughout the night. Marc Broussard highlighted the Annex with opening band and Fountain Square’s own The Meridian City featuring Ant Lee, vocals; Rue Fontaine, guitar; Justin Quigley, drums; and bassist Dan Minnerick. Otis Gibbs’ Hoosier National Album Release Show was on the main stage with opener Mathew Aaron on guitar.

Marc Broussard is a singer, songwriter, performer, and humanitarian with a commitment to making the world a better place.   His new studio album entitled A Lullaby Collection SOS III and book, I Love You For You, were created to educate and inspire younger audiences and is the third in the SOS (“Save Our Soul”) series, finds him re-imagining a series of standards that are easily identified as lullabies—songs such as “Danny Boy,” “Sweet Baby James,” “Moon River,” among others, which are calming, soothing and enticing all at the same time. The 11-song album also includes two Broussard originals, "Bedtime" and "Gavin's Song."
Otis Gibbs is a songwriter, storyteller, painter, photographer and planter of 7,176 trees. He once wrestled a bear, and lost. He has been described as “The best unknown songwriter in music today.” If you ask him, he’ll simply say he’s a Folk Singer.  Contrast Otis with his opener and soloist Mathew Aaron who describes himself as Endiana’s counter-culture artist writer/painter/musician.
