and decided that this was the perfect opportunity to let folks in Indianapolis know about steps being taken at the national level to help fund local programs that will address our rapidly growing crime rate.

I sure do love political conventions, so this is one of my favorite weeks of every quadrennium. It's just about the only place left for good, old-fashioned politicking with signs, silly hats and noisemakers.
