The Butler Bulldogs hosted Taylor University saturday night.  Butler quarterback Bret Bushka looked to repeat the performance that got him player of the week honors last week.  Butler never trailed in a 45 to 10 win of the visiting Trojans. Six bulldogs found the endzone as they ran away with the game.

Butler took a 21-7 lead into the halftime break after both teams scored on their initial drive and then punted the ball back and forth till near the end of the second quarter when butler put together two drives ending in rushing touchdowns by Brody Reder and Joey Suchy respectively.

The dogs came out of the halftime break firing on all cylinders and continued with a touchdown rub by AJ Deinhart. That was quickly followed by Adam Sturtz intercepting a pass by Taylor quarterback Elijah McCloske and proceeded to run it back 75 yards for a touchdown.

The Bulldog's rushing leaders were AJ Deinhart, Bret Bushka, and Kwesi Kyei-Fordjour, with 85, 80, and 36 yards each. Luke Wooten, Tyler Adams, and Johnny O’Shea split the receiving duties with 44, 39, and 23 yards, respectively. With Wooten having the longest Bulldog reception of 35 yards. And Mike Wymer lead the dogs with 5 tackles, 1 for a loss.

The dogs head out on a road trip next Saturday to take on No-3 Ranked South Dakota State Jackrabbits. With kickoff scheduled for 7 pm.
