The Indiana Pacers' rebounding contributes to their win over the Houston Rockets 118-106 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, December 23, 2021.

An Oregon soldier named Aaron Kern, stationed at Camp Atterbury, was attending the game and was surprised during the break between the first and second quarter. He was selected to play a game by the Pacer's emcee and was asked about a children's toy, to which he had no answer. He was given the opportunity to call a friend, and just then, a child ran across the floor in his direction. It was his daughter, who he had not seen in eight months. He immediately dropped to his knees in tears and hugged his daughter. It was a wonderful Christmas present.
